The Diamond Valley Community Garden is run by local volunteers and is a sub-committee of the Town of Black Diamond Parks and Recreation Board. Gardeners come together each year to learn more about healthy gardening and to share their insight with others.
Registration for the Community Garden begins mid February by first reaching out to current gardeners to confirm whether or not they are staying. Those newcomers who wish to have a garden bed need to contact Jane Toews at 403-620-1316 in order to be assigned a bed number or to be put on a waitlist.
Fees will be paid either online by Credit Card or through the Town Office by cash, debit, cheque, or credit. Payments in person will need to be paid during regular Office Hours of Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. After hours it can be made online, or by dropping a cheque (no cash) in the drop-slot by the door on the upper level.
Registration Forms (PDF) for the 2022 season can be downloaded, and fees can be paid at the Black Diamond town Office by cash, cheque or debit or online by credit card. There is a drop-slot by the door on the upper level to allow payments to be made by cheque after office hours.
