Diamond Music Fest & Canada Day Celebration

Celebrating Canada Day 2020 looks different than we are accustomed to. We love to celebrate with music, entertainment, gathering at Erma Joy Brown Park and finish off with a spectacular night of fireworks.

This year we have Canada Flags festively lining Centre Avenue. Residents and businesses are hosting their own small gatherings. We will all enjoy the holiday, and look forward to being able to celebrate as a whole community in the future.

We encourage you to check out what Heritage Canada and the City of Calgary are hosting virtually, they have some fantastic performers lined up, and tips and activities for the family.

Our fireworks provider, Big Bang Fireworks, is doing a Canada Day show. If you would like to watch his show, it will be streamed live on Instagram July 1 at 11:00 pm MDT.

Shop local for Canada Day and enter to win a prize pack courtesy of the Town of Black Diamond and local merchants.

Visit local merchants and eateries on July 1 and save your receipts. A winner will be drawn from the entries with the greatest number of receipts. The more businesses you visit, the better your chances of winning.

Write your name and phone number on the back of your receipts and staple them together. Bring them into the town office by Friday, July 10 at 4:00pm. Draw will be held on Monday, July 13. Entries can also be deposited to the night drop off box.

One receipt per business, no minimum spend.
