Survey - Pathway on Government Road North

Council requested that a survey go out to the community to determine support for a gravel pathway on Government Road North.  The survey closed on July 12, 2019.  The survey results will be presented to Council at the July 23, 2019 daytime Council meeting, you can view the results in that Agenda package.  The Agenda for this meeting will be published on July 18.

Amalgamation Feasibility Study (2016-17)

In February of 2016, the Councils of Black Diamond and Turner Valley agreed to explore amalgamation.  A grant for the Alberta Community Partnership Municipal Restructuring Program was applied for and received.  

Public participation and feedback from community members was a very important step in this process, and a series of open houses occurred in both communities, February 12-20, 2017.  For residents who were not able to attend the open house events, both web-based and hard copy surveys were available as part of the community consultation process.   The following documentation is available after completion of the initial Study:

Citizen Satisfaction Survey

The last Citizen Satisfaction Survey was completed in 2015.  The Final Report is available here for public viewing.

The next Citizen Satisfaction Survey is expected to be released in 2020.
