Wondering How to Make a Difference?
The Town of Black Diamond is proud to have a long history of wonderful volunteers. If you are interested in playing an active role in your community, we encourage you to take a look at the following committees and organizations that are often in need of volunteers and feel free to contact them for further information. Volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Committees and Boards
One of the many ways to volunteer in our community is to serve on a Committee of Council. Most of the Committees, Boards and Commissions have residents of the Town of Black Diamond who serve as Members at Large. If you would like information about serving on any of these boards or would like to attend any of their public meetings, please call the Town Office at 403-933-4348, email us, or check the Events Calendar to find out when the next meeting of that Committee is scheduled to take place.
Oilfields General Hospital
The hospital has an active volunteer program for work within the hospital as well the Meals on Wheels program. Specific opportunities currently include mealtime assistance/hosting and pet therapy. Please contact Robin Carnegie at 403-933-6564 or email Robin Carnegie to submit the application.
